About Me
My name is Karthik Ravindran. I work at Microsoft Corporation as a solutions architecture/ program management Director. I have been at Microsoft for the past 10 years, and prior to that was a software engineeer at a software consulting firm. My experience at Microsoft spans services and product development/engineering.
The application of Web 2.0 trends & practices in the Enterprise context (Enterprise 2.0) to materialize untapped organizational potential and results, is a space that is near and dear to my heart. This blog is my entry into the blogosphere. While I have contemplated doing the “blogging thing” for a while, I did not take the step until now. I wanted to make sure that I could do justice to this by contributing (on a regular basis – a post every 2 weeks at the minimum) useful information and perspectives on an evolving topic of mass interest to the business & technology communities. I think that I have found such an opportunity in the Enterprise 2.0 context and am hereby taking the plunge! My goal is to use this blog as a medium to share my learnings and experiences of the Enterprise 2.0 space with the community.
While my emphasis will be on a platform/technology agnostic approach to communicating related concepts, my viewpoints on implementation opportunities and details will be oriented towards the Microsoft platform – this is the platform that I am experienced in and work with on a day-to-day basis. That being said, it should also be noted that the information presented by me in this blog reflect my personal viewpoints and opinions. Nothing stated in my blog posts should be interpreted as formal statements or positionings of (or) endorsed by Microsoft Corp. unless explicitly mentioned.
